Part 2: Colorpop Highlighters

Round 2: Highlighters. I've been watching YouTube makeup related videos for the past 7 years, and let me tell you, highlighters are the main culprit of the orgasm sound, and with good reason. I love highlighters and I hope this trend never dies. Sooo, whilst looking on Colorpop I came across the highlighter section and the rest is history. Their colour range colorpop has for all of their products in general is amazing, so much so that I bought three colours, which are all pretty similar, I'm not going to lie; I did not need all three of these but, here we are.
If you're looking at these swatches and thinking meh, you're wrong. When I got these and started playing with them I assumed they were 'subtle', heaven forbid. These, like the Colorpop eyeshadows and blushes are a creamy, sort of mousse texture.
L - R: Lunch Money, Spoon, Stole the show
These are amazing, when I applied them at first, I wasn't too impressed until I caught sight of the gleam when I turned my head. These are pretty intense. I love the fact that they don't really emphasise too much texture on the skin and they give an intense glow without being completely obvious. Another hit from Colorpop. What do you think of cream highlighters?

Part 1:Colorpop Blushes via Shipitto

Ok, so, I did a bad thing. Colorpop had a sale 20% off their already low prices, and of course I caved. I had heard about shipitto as a way of getting your American online shopping shipped over, for a fee (which I'll get to later). So naturally I bought a lot of the line. The order took 2 weeks (not including weekends) to dispatch, it was then sent to the allotted address, and then I had to choose a delivery method and pay the fee (which I believe is dependent on weight) and then fill out a customs declaration with all the products and the exact price. The package is sent over to the UK where you're hit with a customs fee charge on top of the delivery, is you're wallet crying yet? After that process you receive the package petty quickly. To be honest, I'd say if you have any trips to the USA planned, just order it whilst you're over there. I know Colorpop are working on getting UK delivery in place, but I'm not a patient woman. So here I am buying more storage for my makeup additions and wishing I could stop spending money.
Colorpop blushes, highlighters and eyeshadows all have a similar texture, a really soft, cream to powder formula. I tested these out, and they last quite well for this type of formula, that being said I didn't wear them on a hardcore long wear day. So I need to have a bit more of a play with these. I used a stippling brush to apply which definitely stopped me from going overboard (an everyday occurrence) but I think next time I'll try a different technique.
L -R: Pie, Cruel intentions, Aphrodisiac
Overall I think these blushes are absolutely gorgeous, the colour range is also amazing, I think there is something for everyone and the texture of these is really unique. Would I recommend buying them from the UK via a service like shipitto? Not really, unless you're willing to pay over the odds like this idiot, but if you can get your hands on them while in the US, then I'm telling you, you won't regret it. Just to clarify though, I did order a lot of the range, so that is most likely why I had to pay a lot more, so if you only want a few items it will be less in the tax/delivery charges. Colorpop are working on trying to get delivery to the UK so hopefully it won't be too long until we can get our hands on all the Colorpop products! Next in the Colorpop review series: Highlighters...
What products would you pay over the odds for?

I Heart Makeup Pink Fizz palette

I love makeup revolution/I heart makeup, as a brand they offer amazing quality products for the best prices, I don't thinks there's a product I've bought from them that I disliked. Their Pink fizz palette is just another one of their chocolate themed palettes, which I have been unknowingly collecting. I love the packaging, yes it's a bit tacky in some ways, but it brings back memories of the type of 'makeup' toys you'd get as a child.
I have to say, though this isn't bad quality by any means, this palette isn't my favourite, the colours don't really seem to be very well put together. It's still a pretty palette, it just is not changing my life.
L-R: Champers, Drink, Flute, Sparkling, Toast

L - R: Bubbles, Girl, Party, Elegant, Celebrate, Truffle

L - R: Rosy, Cork, Pop, France, Pink Fizz
Overall, this is a good palette and if the colours collectively appeal to you, then you can't go wrong for the £7.99 price tag. What do you think of the Makeup Revolution/I Heart Makeup brand?
